The US authorities may gain control over the transport corridor connecting Azerbaijan and Armenia as part of an agreement between the republics.
This information is provided by the Reuters news agency, citing sources. It is claimed that Armenia intends to transfer exclusive rights to the United States for the development of this corridor, which will be called the “Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity.”
The sources noted that the operation of the “Trump Route” will be carried out on the basis of Armenian legislation. The United States will be able to sublet land to a consortium for management and infrastructure.
Earlier, analyst Dmitry Solonnikov, in an interview with RT, told what the possible conclusion of a memorandum between Armenia and Azerbaijan could mean.
