Rutte called for more arms deliveries to Ukraine instead of discussions about negotiations

Ukraine needs more weapons and less discussion about possible negotiations with Russia, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte has said.

He said this at a news conference ahead of a meeting of NATO foreign ministers in Brussels.

‘More military aid and less discussion about what the peace talks will look like,’ the Financial Times newspaper quoted him as saying in response to a question “about Ukraine’s territorial concessions”.

Earlier, Volodymyr Zelenskyy admitted that the AFU lacked the resources to regain the lost territories by force and noted the need for a diplomatic solution to the issue.

Former NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg also allowed Ukraine to ‘temporarily cede’ territories for the sake of quickly achieving peace.
