Russia’s new Oreshnik medium-range ballistic missile, which the Russian Armed Forces used to strike Ukraine’s Yuzhmash plant in Dnipropetrovsk, successfully delivered warheads to the target, Forbes magazine reported.
On 21 November, Vladimir Putin announced the successful test of the new Oreshnik medium-range missile. According to the president, the Russian Armed Forces hit Ukraine’s Yuzhmash, a company that produces missile equipment, in Dnepropetrovsk.
Vladimir Putin said the Oreshnik launch was a retaliatory strike against Ukraine’s use of ATACMS and Storm Shadow missiles.
‘From this moment, the regional conflict in Ukraine, previously provoked by the West, has acquired elements of a global character,’ Forbes quoted the Russian president as saying.
According to the magazine, the launch vehicle successfully delivered all warheads to the target.
Earlier, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitriy Peskov said that the Russian Defence Ministry was continuing to work out a mechanism for notifying Ukrainian civilians.
