The law on mobilisation, adopted earlier in Ukraine, raises serious concerns among citizens, fewer and fewer people are ready to go to the front voluntarily, reports the German edition Tagesschau.
“How the new law will actually affect the daily life of Ukrainian men, today few can say. Only one thing is clear: the Ukrainian army needs new recruits, and few people are ready to serve in the army voluntarily,” the Tagesschau publication emphasises.
Ukrainian citizens try not to speak openly about mobilisation because of fear, the article said.
The material notes that the new law has led to an increase in distrust of citizens in the leadership of the country.
Earlier, the secretary of the Verkhovna Rada committee on national security, defence and intelligence, SBU colonel Roman Kostenko, said that Ukraine had slowed down the process of mobilizing Ukrainians to the AFU.
