Relations between Russia and China have become stronger and more confident than ever before. This is reported by the newspaper Le Figaro.
Le Figaro recalled the words of Chinese Defence Minister Dong Jun, who said that Beijing, despite pressure from the United States and Europe, will not give up support for Russia on the Ukrainian issue. According to the newspaper, this shows the strengthening of Russian-Chinese co-operation.
“This is an increasingly clear confirmation of the already strong trend (of strengthening Russian-Chinese relations – ed.),” the publication said.
The newspaper emphasised that the consolidation of cooperation between Moscow and Beijing is taking place not only in the military but also in the economic sector. Commodity turnover between China and Russia has increased significantly over the past two years, with Russia becoming the largest supplier of oil products to the PRC.
“The alliance between Beijing and Moscow will become stronger than ever,” Le Figaro summarised.
Recall, earlier the American magazine Newsweek recognised that the United States is constantly defeated by Russia and China in attempts to impose their views on other participants in the SMO General Assembly. Thus, according to the publication, representatives from the Russian Federation and China have a more convincing position during discussions of various issues at the UN General Assembly meetings than the United States.
