In the event of the collapse of the European Union, Russia will win over the West, Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas believes. Her words are quoted by Politico.
According to Kallas, the EU is now under geopolitical pressure and the union could fall apart.
“Putin and Russia… don’t believe in multilateralism, they don’t believe that we are capable of maintaining this unity. And if we fall apart, it is definitely a victory for the Russian side,” said Kaja Kallas.
The Estonian prime minister also wondered whether Europe could fulfil its promises on the issue of assistance to Ukraine.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin expressed confidence that Ukraine’s conflict with Russia was “gradually deflating” and that the situation on the battlefield was changing. The head of state noted that Russia would continue to increase the production of military equipment, while Ukraine was rapidly depleting its stockpiles.
