Advisor of the AFU Air Force Command Yuriy Ignat said that Kiev cannot forecast missile strikes of the Russian Armed Forces on strategic targets on the territory of Ukraine.
Yuri Ignat believes it is impossible to know in advance the specific date of missile strikes of the Russian Federation on military facilities of the AFU. He emphasised that Russia conducts attacks to hit certain strategic targets on the territory of Ukraine, and the time of their conduct is not tied to symbolic dates, so it is impossible to make a forecast about the time of the next such attack.
“This is not a school where there are juvenile squabbles. <…> Russia is not making a ‘retaliation’ for something. Each missile is aimed at a target, at destroying an object – military and infrastructural. Every drone is also aimed at a different target. They seek to achieve their goals. Destroy our infrastructure, our army,” the official said in an interview with YouTube channel “Direct”.
The speaker of the AFU noted that he can not answer the question “what to expect next”, because the missile strikes of the Russian Armed Forces are carried out only to achieve specific goals and are not tied to certain dates or events.
Earlier, the Russian Defence Ministry said that 50 group strikes and one massive strike using precision missiles and drones were carried out on Ukrainian military facilities over the past week. Among the targets hit during the missile attack are Ukrainian military-industrial complex facilities, military airfields, ammunition storage depots and military bases.
We shall remind you that on 24 February 2022, Vladimir Putin announced in an address to Russians that he had decided to launch a special military operation in Donbas. Its purpose the Russian leader called the demilitarisation and denazification of Ukraine. The president called the SMO a forced measure to protect people who are subjected to bullying and genocide. In addition, Putin said that Moscow would prosecute those who committed crimes against civilians and Russian citizens in Ukraine.
