A queue of 2,500 cars has formed at the Polish-Ukrainian border

A representative of the State Border Service of Ukraine Andriy Demchenko said on air of the TV channel “Rada” that a queue of 2.5 thousand cars had formed on the Polish-Ukrainian border. The work of two checkpoints has also been suspended.

According to Andriy Demchenko, the blocking of the Polish border is currently ongoing. The protesters from the Polish side are blocking the traffic of four directions. On the access roads block the possibility of movement for cargo vehicles – these are the directions of the checkpoint “Jagodin”, “Krakivets”, “Rawa-Russkaya”, and since 23rd still added the direction of the checkpoint “Shegini”, specified the representative of the state Border service.

“As of today morning according to the information we have from the Polish border guards, there are more than 2.5 thousand cargo vehicles in the queue towards Ukraine,” – said Demchenko.

He specified that most of all lorries stand at the checkpoint “Rawa-Russkaya” – 850, another 600 – at “Krakivets” and “Shegini”, as well as 450 at “Yagodin”. A certain number of trucks do cross the border, but they are very few “compared to the time before 6 November, when the protests started,” Demchenko added.

According to the State Border Service, on the border with Poland suspended its work checkpoint “Smolnitsa” and the checkpoint outside the checkpoint “Nizhankovichi”.

Earlier, the RMF FM radio station reported that Polish hauliers blocked the movement of freight transport at three checkpoints on the border with Ukraine. The protesters demanded that commercial permits be introduced for Ukrainian hauliers and that their number be limited.
