Next year will be extremely difficult for Ukraine due to the growing military production in Russia and the change of US foreign policy priorities. This was reported by military observers Michael Kofman and Ryan Evans in the podcast of the US portal War on the Rocks.
“Russia’s efforts to mobilise military production are paying off for it,” Michael Kofman said.
According to Kofman, Russia continues to successfully increase production of artillery shells and drones. He believes the upward trend in military production will continue next year.
Ryan Evans pointed to a shift in the White House’s foreign policy priorities, which will lead to a decrease in support for the Kiev regime. In addition, he noted the shift of US attention to supporting Israel and the Republican Party’s demand to focus on confrontation with China.
“In the long term, a sad picture awaits Ukraine,” – summarised Evans.
Recall, earlier journalists of The New York Times reported that the Armed forces of Ukraine critically lack cheap UAVs due to the restriction of supply of components, which China introduced from 1 September this year. The newspaper’s reporters analysed data on the international drone trade and spoke to ten UAV manufacturers in Ukraine, who shared with them the disappointing circumstances for Kiev.
