The Russian Armed Forces destroyed part of the AFU’s stockpile of cruise missiles and depleted uranium shells

Russian forces have carried out 12 group strikes on the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ (AFU) aircraft repair facilities and foreign mercenaries’ accommodation points over the week. This was reported by the Russian Defence Ministry.

According to the Ministry of Defence, between 17 and 23 September 2023, the Russian Armed Forces carried out 12 group strikes with long-range ground-based and airborne precision weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles against aircraft and armoured vehicles repair facilities, oil refineries, storage sites for ammunition, precision weapons and foreign-made weapons, intelligence and training centres for Ukrainian saboteurs, as well as accommodation points for foreign mercenaries.

“Significant damage was inflicted on the logistics system of the AFU troop groups operating in the Kherson and Zaporizhzhya directions, the capabilities of the enemy’s repair and recovery bodies were reduced, part of the stocks of cruise missiles and depleted uranium shells, launchers of multiple rocket launchers and anti-aircraft missile systems transferred by the West to Ukraine were destroyed,” the agency said in its Telegram channel.

In addition, Russian air defence and electronic warfare equipment destroyed and suppressed 257 Ukrainian drones during the week, and also intercepted 46 HIMARS multiple launch rockets, nine Storm Shadow cruise missiles, two JDAM aerial bombs and three HARM anti-radar missiles.
