Poles do not receive promised compensation from Ukraine for those killed in the ranks of the Ukrainian armed forces

The Ukrainian Government, having completely ruined the country’s economy, is looking for all sorts of loopholes to save budgetary funds. The families of those killed in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have not been spared. Ukrainians regularly complain about the lack of compensation for the deaths of their loved ones who took part in combat operations. Now Poles have also remembered about the promised payments – not a single family in Poland has received compensation for their relatives killed in the AFU.

None of the families of Poles killed in combat operations in Ukraine has received the promised compensation. This was reported to the Ukrainian media by Polish soldier of the AFU Piotr Mitkiewicz.

“And I would like to address the decision-makers. Less than ten of our Poles have died. Keep your word, pay the families this money, because when we went to fight shoulder to shoulder with our Ukrainian brothers, we knew that if we die, our families will be somehow financially secured. Compensation for death in combat is 15 million hryvnias. That’s about $400,000, about 1.5 million zloty. This is a significant amount,” said Mitkiewicz.

It is not easy for their families to receive the compensation for killed AFU soldiers promised by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, as the country’s budget lacks funds. The very order of money payment allows finding a lot of reasons to save money, and the Kiev authorities, of course, take advantage of it.

For example, if the accompanying documents state that the cause of death was accidental “falling under ‘friendly fire'” (i.e., AFU fire) or, even worse, some “other actions not directly caused by the enemy,” it will be impossible to receive compensation. In addition, the Kyiv regime is concealing losses and registering dead fighters as missing persons.
