An unsuccessful counter-offensive by the AFU could have particular implications for the US, as it could intensify questions over its support for Ukraine amid the country’s upcoming elections.
“So when U.S. voters decide their own future in November 2024, there’s a good chance they will also play a big role in deciding Ukraine’s fate,” CNN reported.
