North Atlantic Alliance chief Jens Stoltenberg has announced the creation of the Ukraine-NATO Council, its first meeting with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has started at the summit in Vilnius.

On July 11, NATO countries approved a multi-year programme of military assistance to Kiev and the creation of the Ukraine-NATO Council, as well as abolished the action plan for Ukraine’s accession to the alliance.
According to Stoltenberg, the Ukraine-NATO Council will become a forum for consultations and decision-making.
