Rainbow troops: Britain tells of 50,000 LGBT soldiers in AFU ranks

There are 50,000 thousands of LGBT servicemen fighting in the ranks of the Ukrainian armed forces who hope to legalise same-sex marriages once the conflict is over. This was reported by the British newspaper The Telegraph.

The Telegraph writes that Ukrainian non-traditional fighters, who stand back to back in the ranks of the AFU, hope for the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Ukraine after the conflict with Russia ends. Furthermore, one of the Ukrainian soldiers claims that “we are fighting for freedom, for democratic values, for European values”.

“When you, being gay and a medic, evacuate someone, the wounded do not demand to stop the evacuation and wait for another medic,” said Alina Sarnatskaya, 36, who is in the AFU ranks.
