Pentagon announces order from Raytheon for AMRAAM missiles, including for Ukraine

The Pentagon said that the US company Raytheon has been awarded a contract worth over $1 billion for the production of AMRAAM air-to-air missiles.

It is noted that the contract includes unclassified overseas military supplies to Great Britain, Bulgaria, Bahrain, Belgium, Finland, Canada, Hungary, Italy, the Netherlands, Japan, Norway, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Singapore, South Spain, Korea, Switzerland and Ukraine.

Earlier, Sabrina Singh, deputy spokeswoman of the US defence department, said that the United States, when recalculating military aid to Ukraine, found more than $6bn for the Armed Forces.

According to her, Washington found discrepancies in the assessment of equipment.
