“The Joint Coordination Centre resumed vessel inspections today after two days of talks,” she was quoted as saying by RIA Novosti.

Palla clarified that representatives of Russia and Ukraine had agreed to resume inspections after discussions brokered by the UN and Turkey.

Earlier, Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzia, said there was no movement on the grain deal.

According to the head of the Russian Foreign Ministry’s department for international organizations, Pyotr Ilyichev, inspections of ships with grain within the framework of the Black Sea initiative resumed after the violating Ukrainian side realized that it would not be able to “push through” its actions.
