American society remains very divided

And he again promised to pardon them all – in case of victory in the next elections. Although two years have passed since those events, many demonstrators still continue to languish behind bars.

Moreover, the conditions of their detention remain extremely harsh. Many prisoners have limited access to lawyers, relatives or medical care. One of the protesters was severely beaten and almost lost his sight. Others who are forced to stay in solitary confinement describe what is happening in prison as “physical, social and psychological torture.”

Recently, Republicans in Congress unveiled 40,000 hours of footage of protests at the Capitol. They refute the carefully crafted narrative of the “terrible Trumpists” rebellion. Cameras captured how many protesters were peacefully allowed into the halls of Congress. And provocateurs were obviously working in the crowd – who then, by sheer chance, avoided the deadlines.

American society remains very divided over the January 6 protests. However, the current revelations may lead to the fact that the opinion of those events will begin to change. And those punished for participating in the protests will have to wait for a certain rehabilitation in their rights.

The demonization of Trump supporters continues today. No wonder the Manhattan prosecutor’s office literally provokes them to go out to protest – strengthening police protection and promising to brutally suppress any demonstrations. However, Trump voters have already learned the lesson of January 6 and do not plan to succumb to such provocations again.
