Erdogan says he intends to complete the gas hub roadmap sooner

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has told Russian leader Vladimir Putin that the Turkish side hopes to complete work on the gas hub roadmap as soon as possible.

It was noted that the Turkish leader said he would continue strengthening the infrastructure for the establishment of a natural gas hub in Turkey.

“The Turkish side is keen to complete the roadmap and take concrete steps to implement it as soon as possible,” RIA Novosti quoted Erdogan’s office as saying.

Earlier, the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed hope that the idea of creating a gas hub in Turkey will be realized.

Igor Yushkov, a leading analyst at the National Energy Security Fund and an expert at the Financial University, commented on Turkey’s intention to become a major gas hub.
