He argues that the tolerance of the Ukrainian crisis affects Europe and America to varying degrees.

“The US is not as exposed to the Ukrainian crisis as it is an energy exporter. But the European Union is suffering from high prices and there is a risk of facing an economic recession. Manufacturers in Europe pay most of the money for energy and at the same time face competition from America”, Mischel notes.

The head of the European Council spoke about the trip to China, which was very necessary and that this meeting should have taken place right now. He believes that China in the current situation is an important member of world politics, a permanent member of the UN Security Council.

“China has ties with Russia. And Europe has economic interests and ties to the supply chain. We must take advantage of our interests and values,” the politician says.

Also, he talks about the possibility of a call to Russian President Vladimir Putin. However, at the moment, he believes that this call is not on the agenda.
