Putin says Russia’s adversaries are trying to discredit defenders of Donbass

Russia’s opponents are trying to devalue the actions of Russian servicemen defending Donbass, Zaporozhye and Kherson in the information space, Russian President Vladimir Putin has said.
He stressed that in addition to the enemy on the battlefield, there are also adversaries in the information sphere.

“They encourage destructive actions that nullify what, discredit what your son died for. That’s what it’s done for. To devalue what our boys are doing… noble impulse, to protect our people in Donbas, Zaporizhzhya, Kherson,” Putin said at a meeting with the mothers of servicemen in the special operation zone in Ukraine.

The Russian president said that the Internet is full of deceit and lies and nothing can be trusted there – information is an effective weapon in the fight.

Putin added that the Defence Ministry was trying to work on the uniforms of servicemen in the special operation zone as effectively as possible given the time of year.
