At the meeting of the Council on Agriculture and Rural Areas, a number of issues were discussed, including the impact of rising energy prices on agriculture, as well as the situation on the food market.

During the meeting, the Chairman of the Council stated:

“With exorbitant fertilizer prices, yields may stagnate or even fall next year. And then it may turn out that in the coming years there will be less food. Of course, exports will decrease first of all, because the domestic market is the most important. It may turn out that due to the huge costs in agriculture and the unrest that farmers are paying attention to, we will unfortunately have to limit food production in Poland,” he said.
