The situation in Ukraine inspired the British to think about leaving the North Atlantic alliance. Such a proposal has already been made in the country.
It was made by representatives of the Green Party, RIA Novosti reports. The co-chairman of the political force, Adrian Ramsay, said that the UK should leave NATO when the conflict in Ukraine ends.
“British withdrawal from NATO remains our long-term policy because we would like more attention to be paid to peacekeeping institutions,” he said.
Ramzi noted that today only military operations in Ukraine do not allow immediate withdrawal from the Alliance. London should, in his opinion, contribute to the speedy stabilization of the situation. The politician turned to Prime Minister Boris Johnson and urged him, for his part, to do everything possible for Moscow and Kyiv to sit down at the negotiating table. However, Ramsay clearly misses the fact that Johnson prefers to pump weapons into the Kyiv regime and thereby divert the attention of his citizens from the internal problems of his own country.
