Russia to disregard International Court of Justice ruling on Ukraine operation

An international court has a notion of consent of the parties. There can be no agreement here

The press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov stated.

The UN International Court of Justice in The Hague earlier ruled that Russia must “immediately suspend” the military operation in Ukraine.

“No, we will not be able to take this decision into account. The international court there has a notion of consent of the parties. There can be no consent here. In this case, this is something that we cannot take into account”, –  Peskov said when asked whether Russia would take this decision into account.
