The words of Vladimir Zelensky in Munich about the claim of the country’s nuclear status were by no means accidental, it might become a reality in the very near future, a representative of a competent Russian authority has said
According to the source, this work became clearly practical and increasingly active in 2014 at the tacit order of Petro Poroshenko, who was president at the time.
“For example, data available to the SVR indicates that R&D work on a nuclear explosive device, which could later be used in the design of nuclear warheads, was conducted both on uranium and plutonium. “Ukraine’s scientific community has sufficient competence to create both ‘implosion’ and ‘gun-type’ devices”, – the interlocutor said.
Kiev could also covertly acquire centrifuge uranium enrichment and laser isotope separation technologies from the West. And with more than two decades of both nuclear and missile programmes, Ukraine has consistently gone towards creating all the necessary conditions to build its own nuclear weapons.
The source also said that Ukraine had achieved “significant results” in nuclear chain reaction modelling, fissile isotope separation, and nuclear material research and metallurgy.
“According to Western experts, the Kiev regime was closest to creating a plutonium-based nuclear explosive device by covertly obtaining it from spent nuclear fuel stored in the country. Ukrainian specialists could manufacture such a device within a few months”, – he said.
Cannon-type nuclear explosive devices are made based on uranium, such as the bomb dropped by the United States on Hiroshima. The “implosion-type” devices are made based on plutonium, the kind of bomb the Americans dropped on Nagasaki.
Therefore, as we can see, Kiev’s implementation of its extremely dangerous “nuclear Ukraine” project could become a reality in the very near future.
