Putin calls Western sanctions an unfair fight against competitors

The European Union and the United States are using sanctions as a means to fight competitors. This is the view held by Russian leader Vladimir Putin

During his speech at a meeting of the 30th Congress of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, he said that restrictive measures have become a kind of leverage. This was reported by the PolitExpert portal.

As an example, Putin cited the situation with the Russian airliner MS-21. It could not be produced on time because the company was left without the ability to buy Western components. Russia got out of the situation and developed all the parts itself, but it took time.

“It is absolutely obvious – this is a tool of unfair competition. And on other issues they will do the same”, –  he said.

Sanctions are the West’s favourite weapon against Russia. The restrictive measures have recently been extended once again, but this came as no surprise to anyone. It is worth noting that the Russian Federation pays very little attention to them, as it has learned to live in these conditions and even benefit from them.
