Experts see no signs of a possible military invasion of the Russian state in Ukraine
This was stated by Andrei Illarionov, a senior researcher of the Center for Security Policy in Washington.
According to him, the number of Russian military personnel near Ukraine’s borders today is less than two months ago and in the spring.
“The data presented by the Ministry of Defence show that the number of battalions of tactical groups on Ukraine’s borders today is less than it was two months ago and much less than it was in March-April 2020”, – Illarionov said.
He also stressed that manoeuvres with Russian troops near the borders of Ukraine may be due to the fact that Moscow is simply escalating the situation.
