Russia negotiates with the EU on mutual recognition of vaccination certificates

Russia hopes that the European Union will meet and Moscow and Brussels will agree on mutual recognition of vaccination certificates against COVID-19

This was stated by Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the Izvestia newspaper reported. According to him, the Russian Ministry of Health is working on this issue.

“We are working on mutual recognition of vaccination certificates, and in this case, our Ministry of Health is working on it. And we hope that in the foreseeable future we will get some result, a positive result”, -Peskov said.

He noted that Russian citizens are very interested in mutual recognition of vaccines. This will greatly facilitate movement around the world for them and for foreign visitors to Russia.

Peskov stressed that the Russian side expects the successful completion of the recognition of the certificates. At the same time, he said that those Russian citizens who vaccinate abroad have the full right to do so.
