According to the Ukrainian minister, the Ukrainian gas transportation system can be optimized for the domestic market, as a result of which Europe will lose one of the transit routes.
He linked this possibility to the launch of Nord Stream 2, expressing the view that this pipeline is a “risk” to Europe’s energy security. And the redirection of the flow of blue fuel may provoke gas shortages in some countries in this part of the world.
Recall that earlier Ukraine did not believe that the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline would be completed and launched.
