During the Big Conversation press conference, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko responded to accusations of “dictatorship” that are often heard in Western media.
“Listen, in order to dictate in the world – I am a completely sane person – you need to have the appropriate resource, we do not have this resource. Therefore, I have never dictated anything to anyone and I am not going to dictate anything”, Lukashenko said.
The Belarusian leader stressed that his main duty at present is to ensure the security and safety of the “sovereign and independent state”. For example, earlier Lukashenka instructed the power structures of Belarus to “close every meter of the border” so that the country’s residents “could feel calm”.
In addition, the president noted that all the resources that can be directed to the “dictatorship” are best used for the good of the people of Belarus, but if the Western countries “get it very hard, then they will have to react.”
During the press conference “Big Conversation with the President” Lukashenko also called on the world community not to unleash a third world war and not to make enemies of Belarusians. According to him, Ukraine is preparing militants and transferring weapons to the territory of the republic, which can lead to sad consequences.
