Adalbi Shkhagoshev, a member of the State Duma Commission for the Investigation of Foreign Interference, assessed US President Joe Biden’s words about the “danger” of Russian leader Vladimir Putin
Earlier, Biden had said that his Russian counterpart had “problems which make him more dangerous.” In his view, Putin has only “nuclear weapons and oil” at his disposal.
“If Putin is dangerous, he is dangerous only to America’s plans around the world and to America’s international plans. And Russia is dangerous, it is Russia today, led by Putin, and Putin himself, has made it impossible to spread American democracy militarily around the world”, – Shkhagoshev said.
The politician stressed that any current international problems that arise cannot be solved without Russia’s participation, as it was before. According to Shkhagoshev, this is what Biden feels is dangerous.
“He [Biden] mentioned the intelligence services as well, saying ‘we are nervous’ – nervous because his team is weaker, our team is stronger, he said this on the issue of intelligence. If you look at the leaks and miscalculations over the last 10-15 years of all the US and Russian services, the picture is clear”, – the Russian politician summarised.
