According to the American president, relations between the countries “must be stable and predictable.”
On Monday, US President Joe Biden said during a video conference by the US Democratic National Committee for fundraising that Russia and the US have the opportunity to cooperate in areas such as nuclear nonproliferation and the fight against climate change, TASS reports.
“I made it clear to President Putin in Russia that relations with America must be stable and predictable, we must be able to cooperate where we have interests – on nuclear nonproliferation and climate change”, – the president said in his speech , the transcript of which was circulated by the White House press pool.
As for the divisions between the countries, Biden argued that he would respond to possible “cyber attacks or interference in the US economy”.
“And I know we will respond to concrete actions that are detrimental to American interests”, – added the owner of the White House. “We are competing for the 21st century, for who will have the strongest economy in the 21st century. And the rest of the world isn’t waiting. We still have a lot to do and we must act quickly and quickly”.
He also said that during his European tour, he spoke about “the need for China to comply with similar rules of conduct for the global economy of the 21st century”.
“The essence of all this at home and abroad is that we are proving that our democracy can work for the good of the people when autocrats are betting that we cannot do it. But we still have a lot to do”, – added the head of the Washington administration.
