The U.S. State Department spokesman Ned Price said that Washington will continue to provide support to Kiev, including military, to protect it from “Russian aggression”.
“We discussed the continuation of close cooperation and partnership support for Ukraine, including in terms of Ukraine’s security needs […] We will continue to work to provide the security assistance that Ukraine needs to defend against Russian aggression, this includes lethal defense systems”, – Price said.
Earlier, the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, Andriy Yermak, in an interview with Time magazine, said that the United States should place Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems (SAM) on the territory of Ukraine, which will help “keep the defense against Russia”. In March of this year, the Pentagon provided Kiev with another $125 million military aid package.
