On Friday the headquarters of the current president, Donald Trump, filed a lawsuit in the State Court of Georgia to invalidate the results of the 3 November elections
“President Donald Trump and the Trump campaign were joined in the lawsuit by David Shafer, Chairman of the Georgian Republican Party Committee. The lawsuit is accompanied by affidavits from dozens of Georgia’s residents, who have been notified of the consequences of perjury and the punishment for it. They have witnessed the inability to process and secure the ballots, the inability to authenticate signatures on absentee certificates”, – the headquarters statement said.
According to the authorities, Democrat Joe Biden won the state of Georgia with 49.51% of the vote. Trump came in second with an extremely small margin of 49.25% of the vote. Victory in Georgia will give the candidate 16 votes out of the 270 required.
