Two people were killed
At least two people were killed and three injured in the assassination attempt on the head of the migration and naturalisation service, Mohamed Aden Kofi. The Anadolu agency reported on Tuesday evening, citing an African government official, that the official was not injured.
Somali government spokesman Ismail Mukhtar Oronjo told the agency that three guards of the official were injured in a terrorist attack in the capital Mogadishu. A representative of the local police told the agency that there were two victims of the bombing.
None of the extremist groups operating in the country had claimed responsibility for the assassination attempt.
