Ukraine lost about $2 billion in trade with Russia this year

According to the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of the Russian Federation, the share of Ukraine in foreign trade during the reporting period decreased by 0.8% (from 2.1% to 1.3%). In annual terms, the decline was $3.545 billion, or 46%.

As reported by RIA Novosti Crimea, according to the data of the report of the State Statistics of Ukraine, in the first five months of this year alone, Nezalezhnaya lost about $2 billion in trade with Russia.

“During this period, imports from Russia fell to $1.8 billion and amounted to 43.9% compared to the same period last year. Exports to Russia also lost about a third of their volume and amounted to $ 1.7 billion”, – the Ukrainian State Statistics Service said.

Despite the openly hostile Russophobic policy of the Ukrainian authorities, Russia remains one of the most important economic partners of Ukraine. 9% of all imports and 6% of Ukrainian exports go to the Russian Federation.
