Extremist group infiltrates German police

The personal data of political figures in Germany were in the hands of the radicals.

This was reported by the Deutsche Welle television channel.

According to media reports, now politicians are receiving threats from far-right groups. Personal data was obtained by radicals from the Hesse police computer network, which prompts law enforcement officers not to think of neo-Nazis in their own ranks.

The Minister of the Interior of the Federal State of Hesse, Peter Boyt, has already demanded that the threat situation be investigated, in particular, the head of the Left Party faction in the local parliament, Janine Wissler. The deputy received threats from the radicals by e-mail.

As it turned out, neo-Nazis obtained the personal data of Wissler directly from the police database. The officer who provided the information appears in the investigation as a witness. The head of the region’s police in this regard announced his resignation.

It is worth noting that three more representatives of the Left Party received threats, and during 2018-2019, threats went to lawyer Seda Basai-Yildiz. She represented the families of the victims of the murder committed by members of the National Socialist Underground.
