Two members of the UN peacekeeping mission in Mali (MINUSMA) died on Saturday in an armed attack in the north-east of the country, the mission said.
According to the statement, the supply convoy was attacked in the area of the village of Tarkint, located northeast of the city of Gao.
It is reported that the special representative of the UN Secretary General in Mali and the head of MINUSMA, Mahamat Saleh Annadif, condemned the attack.
The MINUSMA mission was established in April 2013 to carry out special security tasks in Mali. By October 2018, the number of mission exceeded 15 thousand people.
