The President added that they are all “ready to defend their homeland”.
The number of Venezuelan citizens who are in the ranks of the people’s militia has exceeded the 4.1 million mark. This was reported Monday by President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela Nicolas Maduro during a speech in Caracas.
“I declare that today, April 13, 2020, the Bolivarian National Militia has 4 156 567 members,” said Maduro, whose speech was broadcast on public television.
The Venezuelan President added that all the militias are “ready to defend their homeland”.
In early December last year, Maduro said that the militia has 3.3 million citizens.
