Daily Mail: USA sponsored laboratories where coronavirus was supposedly developed

The material of the publication indicated that the bats that were used for the experiments were brought from caves, where, according to many scientists, a new type of coronavirus appeared. The newspaper, referring to unnamed documents, claims that the US authorities financed precisely the project, which implied experiments on bats.

Other partners at Wuhan University include the United States National Institute of Health, the University of Alabama, the University of North Texas, Harvard University, and the United States National Wildlife Federation.

According to the newspaper, scientists at the institute could become infected through blood containing the virus, and then transmit it to the local population. It is worth noting that the laboratory is located 32 kilometers from the food market in Wuhan, which has become the epicenter of the spread of the disease.

Note that Wuhan University was built after an epidemic of another type of SARS coronavirus, which broke out in 2002-2003 and claimed the lives of 775 people. The Institute specializes in the study of dangerous viruses and pathogens, in particular viruses transmitted by bats.
