The year is nearing completion, but US lawmakers in Congress have been unable to agree on a state budget for next year.
To date, representatives of the Republican Party in the Senate are demanding increased funding for the military sector, while cutting spending on the health care system. The democratic majority of the House of Representatives demands an increase in domestic spending. At the same time, the dispute over the allocation of funds to the notorious “Trump Wall” on the border with Mexico does not stop.
Last year, a dispute over the barrage facilities entailed the so-called “shutdown” – the cessation of state institutions due to the cessation of their financing. To avoid the same scenario this year, US President Donald Trump has signed an interim budget for 2020, which will be valid until December 20. It is worth noting that the previous interim budget expired on November 21, but lawmakers have not yet reached agreement.
