President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky said at a meeting with German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier that Ukraine had completed its part to resume the work of the “Norman Four” and looked forward to holding a meeting of its leaders in the near future.
Zelensky is on a visit to Japan on October 21-24; he took part in the ceremony of intronization of Emperor Naruhito. According to the press service of the head of state, a number of bilateral meetings of the Ukrainian president with leaders of foreign countries are planned.
“Ukraine has done its part to resume the work of the Norman four. We look forward to holding a meeting of the leaders of the Norman four in the near future, because all the barriers have been removed,” the press service of the Ukrainian head quoted Zelensky as saying.
As noted, the parties discussed the situation in Donbass. “Achieving peace in the Donbass and ending the bloodshed is an absolute priority for me and my team. I am sincerely grateful to you for the efforts made to politically and diplomatically resolve the war in Donbass, for the constant attention to the issue of restoring the territorial integrity of Ukraine,” Zelensky quotes the press service.
