Indian Foreign Minister: ready for “civilized negotiations” with Pakistan

Indian Foreign Minister Subramaniam Jaishankar said the Indian leadership is ready for dialogue with Pakistan if the negotiations are “civilized”. This was reported on September 6 by the Indian news publication Aj so.

Subramaniam Jaishankar, answering journalists’ questions, emphasized: “We are ready to resolve disagreements with Pakistan in a civilized way.” Then, the Indian Foreign Minister explained that  Islamabad needs to “remove the gun attached to the head of India.”for a productive dialogue. “Now Pakistan openly declares that it is ready for negotiations, but reserves the right to send terrorists to blow up Indian cities,” – Subramaniam Jaishanqar added.

The problem of terrorism is one of the key stumbling blocks in relations between India and Pakistan. New Delhi accuses Islamabad of financing terrorist organizations operating in India.
