Israel: Voting gets underway in hotly-contested Knesset elections

Voters began casting their ballots in Tel Aviv on Tuesday as polling stations for the Israeli legislative elections opened.

The Community Centre Beit Kimchi let a queue of voters in its doors to post their slips.

Israelis will pick their new representatives for The Knesset (Israeli parliament) with the party of current Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and that of former IDF Chief of Staff Benny Gantz leading the polls.
