On September 15, the Syrian Military Intelligence uncovered two large ammo depots, which had been left behind by militants, in the towns of Jasim and Bariqa in the western Daraa countryside and the southern al-Quneitra countryside during a security operation, according to the Syrian state TV.
The ammo depots contained a SA-7 man-portable air-defense (MANPAD) missile, several MRO-A thermobaric rocket launchers, an electro-optical observation system, several mine detection systems, several remote detonators, dozens of anti-tank rocket propelled-grenades, mortar shells and loads of ammunition of different calibers.
During the last two weeks, the SAA uncovered two ammo depots in the towns of al-Malgah and Jubata al-Khashabin the governorate of al-Quneitra. According to Syrian pro-government activists, most of these weapons were supplied by the US and its allies.
The SAA imposed control of opposition-held areas in southern Syria two months ago after a successful military operation, which led to a reconciliation agreement. Back then, all the radical militants in al-Quneitra chose to withdraw to the northern part of the country.
