Former Ukrainian Defense Minister Anatoly Gritsenko said that Kiev more than a decade ago was preparing for war with the Russian Federation.
He made this statement on the news channel NewsOne, commenting on the words of the People’s Deputy Ivan Vinnik, who accused the former head of the Defense Ministry of inaction against the so-called “Russian aggression”.
According to Gritsenko, Kiev began preparations for a war with Russia immediately after the Orange Revolution, that is, in 2005-2007. Then the Armed Forces of Ukraine began actively pulling arms to the border with the Russian Federation, he said.
“Specifically, the Russian Federation was seen as a threat factor. There were concrete actions to prepare for this. Displacement of air defense complexes in Donetsk and Lugansk region from Odessa. Moving of systems of volley fire in Sumy from Kremenchuk. And a lot of other things, “- said Gritsenko.
