Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said on Thursday about the desire to “create a new history” of bilateral relations with Russia, about this he said during a meeting with the deputy of parliament Muneo Suzuki.
Suzuki, known in Japan for his close ties with Russia, discussed with Abe the issue of the 60-year anniversary of the signing of the bilateral Joint Declaration. The Prime Minister, according to the deputy, agreed that “it’s definitely a need to create a new history”, says Kyodo news agency.
Shinzo Abe’s visit to Russia is scheduled on May 6, the talks between the President Vladimir Putin and Japanese Prime Minister will be held in Sochi.
