Hamas rejects US accusations of violating ceasefire in Gaza

The Palestinian movement Hamas has rejected US accusations that it violated the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.

‘Hamas strongly… refutes claims of an alleged “imminent attack” or “violation of the ceasefire agreement,”’ the statement said.

On the night of 19 October, the US notified the countries that are guarantors of the peace agreement on the Gaza Strip of an ‘inevitable’ violation of the ceasefire by Hamas.

US President Donald Trump had previously threatened to destroy Hamas if it continued to kill people in Gaza.
