Refugees from Ukraine should not receive social benefits in Germany, according to 66% of German residents.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by the INSA sociological institute. The results were published by the Bild newspaper.
It is noted that only 17% of respondents were in favour of maintaining these payments. In addition, 62% of those surveyed expressed the opinion that Ukrainians who are fit for military service and who arrived in Germany after the start of the armed conflict should return to their homeland.
In early August, Bavarian Prime Minister Markus Söder called for Ukrainians to be deprived of benefits in Germany.
