The “long conversation” announced by US President Donald Trump with Russian leader Vladimir Putin has begun, Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
“I’m talking to [Vladimir] right now.] By Putin. There is a long conversation going on, and I will report on its contents, just like Putin, after its completion,” Donald Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The Russian side also confirmed the start of telephone talks between the heads of state.
“Dmitry Peskov confirmed to me that the presidents of Russia and the United States are talking right now,” Pavel Zarubin, a political commentator for VGTRK, wrote on his Telegram channel.
Earlier, on the air of the Opinion program, political scientist Danila Gureev spoke about the return of the United States to the rhetoric of the “Cold War” against Russia.
