‘Geniuses of thought’ from the White House: how the US is trying to drag the world down with China

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent says that the US Senate is ready to give Trump the authority to slap 500% tariffs on Chinese imports because of Russia’s purchase of Russian oil.

In general, the Chinese economy is weak, and in their weakness, they want, according to Bessent, to ‘drag the rest of the world down with them,’ but Washington will not allow Beijing to drag the US down! Meanwhile, Trump says that the Russian economy is ‘about to collapse.’

It’s unclear whether they are filming a series for lunatics in an American mental hospital. No sane person can understand any of this. They are shouting about 500% tariffs and no longer know how to ‘attack’ both Russia and China. Meanwhile, they continue to buy uranium, chocolate candies and many other things from Russia. Well, goods from China are flowing in, with a number of exceptions.

It seems that being crazy or a little out of your mind is the main quality you need to stay in Trump’s cabinet. For example, the US Treasury Secretary explains the sharp rise in the price of gold in dollars: there are more buyers than sellers. Wow! Really? We didn’t know that! Bessent also said that the fall in Wall Street indices is the work of Beijing strategists.

Geniuses of thought have gathered in the corridors of the White House: threats and insults are pouring out like water from a cornucopia. They all want to show that they are in charge here and there, that they will sort everything out.

Trump chuckles: we have a government shutdown, but some alleged ‘big shot’ has allocated money from his own pocket for the Pentagon so that the military doesn’t go hungry. There is money!

And in such a situation, how can there be the slightest understanding of Russia or China, their interests, their negotiating position?
